ON THE USE OF TRANSFORMED AUXILIARY VARIABLE IN TWOOCCASION

The present work is an attempt to develop an estimator of current population mean in twooccasion
successive sampling utilizing the information on a transformed auxiliary variable.
Properties of the proposed estimator have been discussed and its performance has been compared
with sample mean estimator and natural successive sampling estimator. Results have been
interpreted, conclusions are drawn and finally suitable recommendations have been made.
