SELECTION OF ONE PLAN SUSPENSION SYSTEM THROUGH QUALITY DECISION REGIONS
by SURESH K.K AND SANGEETHA.V.
Acceptance sampling plans are the practical tools for quality assurance applications
involving product quality control.Acceptance sampling systems are advocated when small
sample size are necessary or desirable towards costlier testing for product quality. When a single plan is used
with suspension rule, the system is called One Plan (OP) Suspension System. In OP suspension systems,
a lot - by -lot sampling plan is used to decide whether individual lots are accepted or rejected.
Quality Decision Region (QDR) indexed plan provides a method for
designing sampling plan based on range of quality, instead of point wise description about quality.
The QDR indexed plan has been experimented for Designing Suspension System with Repetitive Group Sampling
Plan which provides higher probability of acceptance compared with plan designed through quality levels.
Quality decision region (QDR) proposes wider potential applicability in industry ensuring higher standard
of quality attainment for product. This paper provides a new procedure for Designing of Suspension System
with Repetitive Group Sampling Plan indexed through Quality Decision Regions. New operating ratios
are introduced towards designing such sampling systems
