Comparison of Non-Informative Priors for Number of Defects (Poisson) Model

Abstract: The objective of this study is to provide the comparison of non-informative (Jeffrey’s and Uniform) priors for the parameters of the Poisson model used to model the number of defects. Rossman, Short and Parks (1998) describe the relationship between Bayesian and classical estimation using the continuous uniform distribution. In this study, our focus is on exploring these relationships using the Poisson distribution and illustrates the Bayesian analysis with an example.
