FAST INITIAL RESPONSE IN EWMA CHARTS

Abstract: The concept of fast initial response (FIR) with reference to EWMA charts is briefly introduced and a proposal of FIR based limits for Riaz and Abbasi (2007) time varying limits is given. A comparison of the proposed limits is also made with that of Khoo (2004) asymptotic limits and Riaz and Abbasi (2007) time varying limits.
