Randomized Use of Warner’s Randomized Response Model

Abstract: Randomized use of Warner’s (1965) Randomized response model is investigated and an estimator is proposed to estimate of proportion of a sensitive trait in a population. The relative efficiency of proposed estimator is calculated and it is found that proposed estimator performs well when some easy conditions (given in the text) are satisfied. Also the proposed estimator may be viewed as providing more privacy to the respondents.
