Probability Density Functions in Education using Dynamical Systems and Java Applets

Abstract: Probability density functions (PDF's) have inherent connections to the field of Dynamical Systems. A methodology for teaching PDF's is introduced with the Logistic equation as a prototype. Numerical computation of these PDF's is carried out using Java applets on the Web. Educational implications of this approach are given.
